The episode starts with the Black Cat Pirates shaking in their boots! Why?? Because Captain Kuro is back and looking at the mess in front of him. He can’t believe what’s happened and is PISSED! Jango nervously reminds Kuro that it was him who said that letting Luffy go wouldn’t be a problem. Kuro says sure, he said that, but he also didn’t expect his men to be punks, to let a BOY beat their asses. Captain Kuro calls them FEEBLE. Jango, Siam and Butchie don’t like that, and basically tell Kuro HE’S the punk since he’s been living the high life at Kaya’s mansion. The Meowban Brothers tell Kuro he can’t beat them and they attack. Jango tells them to stop cuz even he knows Kuro has hands. But it’s too late.
Captain Kuro pulls something called the Pussy Foot Maneuver and brother moves like lightening. Somehow, he removes his Freddy Kreuger gloves and falls behind the Meowban Brothers. He uses the move again and disappears, but ends up holding his claws in front of the Meowban Brothers, who are absolutely terrified. Captain Kuro tells them that if they don’t take care of Zoro in five minutes, he’ll kill every single pirate, including them.
The Meowban Brothers charge but Nami, who was injured in the previous episode, kicks Zoro’s two swords towards him so he has the upper hand. Zoro, back in rare form, cuts the brothers easily, defeating them. Zoro tells Kuro that he’ll beat them all before the five minutes is up. But Butchie is still alive and begs Captain Jango to hypnotize him. He does, and Butchie turns into a friggin monster. Zoro panics briefly but then gets ready to fight. Nami isn’t taking any changes and runs towards a still-sleeping Luffy. She steps on his face to wake him up, but hears Zoro tell her to look out. She slowly turns and sees Captain Jango’s hypnosis tool flying right for her head. Turns out it’s a weapon called a chakram (a circular throwing weapon from India that is sharpened on the outside edge, according to Google). Luffy wakes up and grabs Nami by the foot she used to step on his face, pulling her down and out of the way of the chakram. But the weapon heads straight for Luffy’s face, which hits him. His head goes back but at first I can’t tell if the chakram lodged in his face or if he grabbed it with his mouth.
Turns out, Luffy caught it in his mouth, and is so pissed off from being woken up he breaks the chakram with his teeth! But then he notices that Nami’s been hurt, so he promises to fight hard for her. Nami tells him to definitely fight hard . . . “for my treasure.” Of course.
Luffy comes back to the fight, wondering why the “bad butler” is there. Before they fight, Kaya comes out of nowhere, running towards the fight to try and stop it. Usopp sees her coming at the same time Captain Kuro does, and he jumps in front of her to block Kuro’s claws. Usopp is hurt but saves Kaya from Kuro’s attempt to kill her. Usopp asks Kaya why she’s there and she explains that it’s because she found out about Captain Kuro being a pirate. She yells at Kuro to stop the madness he tells her has no plans to do that. She offers him all of her money to save the village, but Captain Kuro says that he will attack the village, take her money and kill her. Kaya nervously takes out a pistol and points it at Kuro. He then starts messing with her head, reminding her of all the good times they had, and she falters. He takes her gun and then tells her how much he hated sucking up to Kaya and couldn’t wait for the day he was able to follow through with his plans.
Usopp grabs the gun and prepares to shoot, but Kuro is too fast. He stands behind Usopp, claws at the ready. Before he can do anything though, Luffy’s fist comes flying towards him and he knows the absolutely fuck out of Kuro. The man’s face literally twists sideways. Kuro is out for the count and Luffy tells Kuro he’s got more where that came from.
Is Kuro out for good? Will the Black Cat Pirates run for cover? And will Nami get her treasure? Stayed tuned for the next episode.
